Beorn was born at 7:28pm Oct 5th 2012. He weighed 8lbs 6oz and was 20 3/4 ins long.

So we decided to take the family out for some steak. She was able to enjoy her first couple bites of Jared's steak. She's a Texan for sure! haha

Jared and I decided to escape the city. We drove to a random little town and stayed a couple nights. Zelly found the mirror and loads of entertainment.

Beorn in 3D!

So today wasn't a day I was looking forward to in the slightest... I had to have a glucose test and my doctor's office wants to you to wait for an hour in the hospital until you can get your blood test.

This morning, I loaded Zelly and I up in the truck. We drove about 10 miles down the highway when I realized something was off. The air conditioning wasn't working, instead of nice cool air, it was extremely hot air. The fan wouldn't shut off either so I thought to myself "Great, the truck is going to over heat." I watched all the gages for the slightest sign of the truck over heating. Zelly and I still had about a 35 to 45 minute drive until we reached my doctor's office. I rolled down the windows but even going 60mph in supposed 82 degree weather, it was still hot.

Thankfully, the truck didn't try to over heat and Zelly and I made it safely off the highway. Then an extremely large truck pulling an equally large horse trailer was in the next lane to Zelly and I. Now, having grown up with pulling trailers I naturally gave the driver some extra space. However, the truck and the trailer quickly went into my lane. I know God was with us since I was able to miss the trailer but I had to drive up on the sidewalk to avoid getting hit. Thankfully, I was able to avoid an accident and no damage to our truck.

So when I got to my doctor's office, I was a little on edge. While I was waiting to get my blood sugar test, my doctor didn't want me to be bored and waiting around with nothing to do for an hour. She offered me a free 3D sonogram! I'm truly lucky to be friends with my doctor and her staff. It really made my day so much better!
